VAN DER SANDE is the shared perspective of mother and daughter, Laurence and Lidewij.

Forty years apart, we grew up with different influences and different references, yet we share a remarkably similar way of looking at the world. Art has always been part of that shared perspective: discovering it, collecting it and, increasingly, creating it ourselves.

Rooted in Amsterdam and Antwerp, our collection has grown organically, guided less by convention than by curiosity. We are particularly drawn to emerging artists and distinctive voices. Work that feels authentic, unexpected and makes us want to look again.

Alongside collecting, we both create our own work. What began simply for the pleasure of creating has become another expression of our shared interest in art. Some of these pieces have naturally found their place within VAN DER SANDE.
